Bertha L. Pawley, 95, of Topeka, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2007 at Manor Care.
She was born June 16, 1912 in St Louis, MO the daughter of Eugene and Anna Locher.
Mrs. Pawley was a member of Highland ParkUnitedMethodistChurch and active in many church circles and groups.
Bertha operated Pawley's Beauty Shop from her home until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Ronald, a granddaughter Ruth Meacham, three sisters and a brother. Surviving family includes one son, Jack and his wife Dollie Pawley, Imperial, NE; two daughters-in-law, Anna and Evelyn Pawley, both of Topeka; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Pawley will be cremated. Memorial services will be at Highland Park United Methodist Church at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 S.E. Michigan Ave., Topeka, KS66605. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
