Bethene Harpham

Bethene "Betty" L. Harpham, 86, of Topeka, died Septemebr 26, 2013. Betty was born January 8, 1927 near Atkinson, Nebraska, the daughter of William D and Sephern (Sjoberg) Wondercheck. She graduated from Albion High School in 1944. Betty married Charles L. Harpham on July 12, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas.

Betty worked for over 25 years at Maternal Land (retail sales). She was a member of TARC since 1954 and served on the boards for TARC and Sheltered Living helping to orchestrate the Festival of Trees and Winter Wonderland. Betty was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Shepherd Center.

Betty is survived by her daughter Vickie Carlson, North Potomac, Maryland; three grandchildren, Paul (Allison), Liv (Walker Woods), and Brit (Aaron Clark) Carlson; her brother, William Wondercheck (Opal), Newman Grove, Nebraska; her sister, Naoma Ronnfeldt, Norfolk, Nebraska; and her brother-in-law Glenn Harpham, Edwards, Missouri. She was preceded in death by Charles, her loving husband of 45 years, her daughter Mary, and her son James.

A memorial service will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at (time) on (date). Private inurnment will take place at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
