Betty Edwards-Meyers

Betty K. Edwards-Meyers, 71, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord, April 20, 2009. She passed away peacefully at her home. She was born June 5, 1937, in Independence, KS, the daughter of George and Martha (Kimble)White.
Betty graduated from Park College in Park City, MO, and earned her Masters Degree in Political Science from the University of Nebraska. She spent most of her life as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker to her family. Later she worked as an addictions counselor and legal secretary. Betty married Bob Meyers on November 10, 1991 in Topeka. He survives. She is also survived by her son Jay D. (Nancy) Edwards, and grandsons Dylan and James Edwards all of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She loved reading, painting, and being of service to others. She was a friend of Bill W.'s for over 30 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Brookwood Covenant Church, 3601 SW 33rd Street, Topeka, KS. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:30 – 6:30 PM.
