Betty Jean Fergola

Betty Jean Fergola, 97, of Tecumseh, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. She was born October 15, 1924 in Arkansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Earl and Hazel (Wheeler) Young.
Betty graduated from Udall High School in Udall, Kansas. She was employed as an Accountant for the State of Kansas Board of Cosmetology for several years before retiring. She was a life-time member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Tecumseh Golden Age.
Betty married Victor Fergola on November 7, 1944 in Winfield, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1994. She was also preceded in death by one son, Rick Fergola and three siblings, Bob Young, Wayne Young and Margie Sheets.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria Fergola of Topeka, Marilyn (Mark) Bell of Tecumseh, five grandchildren, Richard (Marci) Fergola, Jeffrey Fergola, Angela (Shawn) Stone, Matthew (Aaron) Bell, Michael (Brandi) Bell, seven great-grandchildren, Anthony, Taylor, Rocco, Peyton, Reece, Zaylee and Kallie, one step-grandson, Dylan, and one brother, Donald Young of San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held in Bethel Cemetery, Tecumseh, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Tecumseh United Methodist Church, 334 S.E. Tecumseh, Rd., Tecumseh, Kansas 66542.
