Betty J. Esquibel-Neal, 76, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
Betty was born December 15, 1937 in Topeka, the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Wilkins) Esquibel. She graduated from Topeka High School and attended Kansas State University, University of Kansas, Washburn University and graduated from Friends University in 1995.
She was employed with the State of Kansas, K.N.I., as a Speech and Hearing Therapist, retiring in 2004.
She was an active member of College Ave SDA, later becoming Highland Crest SDA and Wanamaker Seventh Day-Adventist Church. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Ebonite League, and a member of the 300 Club.
Betty married Clarence G. Neal on June 10, 1954 in Topeka. He died on May 5, 1995. Survivors include their children, Rory G. Neal, Topeka, Joseph S. Neal, Lee's Summit, MO., Gina Esquibel-Neal, Columbus, GA; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; mother, Margaret Esquibel, Topeka; and sister, Dorcelyn Esquibel-Miller, Topeka. She was preceded in death by her father, Husband and son's Daryl Steven Neal and Brett D. Neal, Sr, and sister Harrietta E. Moore.
