Betty Jean Hunter, 83, of Topeka, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 at her residence. She was born on September 1, 1921 the daughter of Harry and Sophie Buck Vandeveer. She worked for a war plant in Springfield, Illinois, Look Magazine in Des Moines, Iowa and the State of Illinois Treasurers Office. She married Stanley Hunter in 1949 at Springfield, Illinois. He precededed her in death on January 19, 1993. Cremation took place. As per her wishes, no services are planned. Private inurnment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
