Betty Katherine Roberts

April 2, 1930 — May 29, 2016

Betty Katherine Clark Roberts passed away on May 29, 2016 at Topeka. She was born April 2, 1930 in Olathe, Kansas, one of three children born to Donald and Katherine Wilmot Clark. Betty remembered many family moves in her youth as necessary for her father's work. She attended grade school at Baldwin City and later Boswell Junior High in Topeka. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1947. She later graduated from Strickler's Business College and also attended Washburn University.

She married Joe Roberts in 1949 and worked at Blue Cross before raising her family. They were the parents of Pamela Jo, Max, Michael, Dean, Brian and Bradley. The family lived near Burlingame and later moved to Paxico.

Betty became a museum curator for the Kansas State Historical Society, and was a director at Historic Fort Hays until retiring in 1995.

She was preceded in death by Joe in 2003, and her brother Ken. Her 6 children, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren survive her. She is also survived by her sister Millie Pacunski, and special companion David Overmeyer. She will be dearly missed by all.

A private family graveside service and inurnment will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery near Paxico.
