Betty Lou Legge, 85, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024.
She was born October 14, 1938 in Sabetha, KS, to daughter of Floyd and Lyda Althouse. She graduated from Sabetha High School in Sabetha, KS.
Betty married William A. Legge August 20, 1961. He preceded her in death on August 3, 2000.
Betty loved spending time traveling to New Mexico, shopping, and sewing and cooking for family and friends.
She was especially known for the thousands of cinnamon rolls and caramels she made.
Survivors include son, William F. (Bill) Legge of Lawrence and daughter Lee Ann Legge of Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned with a private family burial.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604.
