Beverley Ann Powell, 89, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

She was born January 21, 1933, in Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of John Royal and Florence Alberta (Truster) Dannelley. She graduated from Humboldt High School.

Beverley married James C. Powell on February 27th, 1952 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He preceded her in death on December 22nd, 2019. Survivors include her daughter, Kristie A. Caldwell (Jim) of Topeka; granddaughters, Autumn Menage (Nate) of Topeka and Shanna Brackmann (Bo) of Topeka; great-granddaughter, Charlee Carpenter of Virginia; brother, John (the late Joyce) Dannelley of Mississippi; sisters-in-law, Zita (Don) Shoemaker of Oklahoma; Virginia (The Late John) Hart of Lenexa, KS; Sue (Calvin) Phillips of Georgia; Betty Van Meter of Missouri; aunt, Ella Carl (103 years old) of Humboldt; cousin, Warren Dale (Wren) Samuel of Topeka; and her step-niece, Tara Carpenter of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband; children, Marla Powell, Elaine Holmes and David Powell.

Beverley loved reading, word searches and spending time with her dog Flash.

Honoring her request, cremation is planned. There will be no services at this time. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Chanute, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
