Beverly J. Waggener, 78, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2008.
She was born May 22, 1930 in Sibley, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Marjorie Bramblett. Beverly grew up in Spirit Lake, IA where she graduated high school. In 1952 she received her Bachelors in Music Education from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, IA
Beverly taught music for one year in Story City, IA. She earned her Masters in Music in 1955 from the Colorado State Teachers College, Greeley, CO.
She married Fred M. Brackett in 1954. He preceded her in death in 1964. Born to this union were three children who survive her, Lori Henderson and her husband Kevin, Toni Barker and her husband Bradley and Edward Brackett and his wife Clarissa. She married Sterling Waggener in 1966. He also survives along with their daughter Heidi Waggener. Additional survivors include; her grandchildren, Jessica Twombly, Katie Henderson, Joshua and Andrew Barker, Gabriel and Mathew Brackett, A. J., J.T. and Bailey Chinn; one great grandson Lucas Twombly. She also has one surviving sister, Betty Compton.
Beverly had been a Real Estate Associate with Town & Country and Caldwell Banker Griffith & Blair from 1973 to 2008. She enjoyed many successful years in real estate.
She attended First Church of Christ, Scientist.
Cremation is planned. Her family would like you to join them to celebrate her life. An informal gathering will be held at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka on Thursday, September 25 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to First Church of Christ, Scientist, 2600 S.W.
