Bissessarnath Ramcharan-Maharajh (Ram) died in Topeka, Kansas early on the morning of March 3, 2015, after a brief illness.
He was born in 1928 in Fyzabad, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. His parents, Ramcharan Maharajh and Beephanee, are deceased.
He became a citizen of the United States in 1961. He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL with a Bachelor of Science degree, and from Washburn University with a Master of Education Administration and a Juris Doctor degree.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Josephine Carter Ramcharan, seven children, twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial arrangements are pending at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service in Topeka, Kansas.
