Blenda (Moberg) Russell, 79, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019.
She was born July 15, 1940, in Alta Vista, Kansas, the daughter of Elmer and Madeline (Carlton) Moberg.
She attended Alta Vista schools. She was married to Jim Russell for 59 years.
Blenda was employed by Richmond-Gordman for 10 years.
She was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church. Blenda enjoyed gardening, decorating her home and reading her bible.
Survivors include their children, Barbara (Tim) Whitt, Debra (Anthony) Long, J.D. (Calley) Russell, Wendi Russell (Brad Warren), and Jessica Trimble; grandchildren, Shelley (Kenneth) Harrell, Jaime Whitt, James (Sarah) Russell, Scott (Randi) Connell, Jackie (Ben) Kuisle, Billy (Heidi) Connell, Ashley (Jeremy) Villines, Jacob (Miranda) Russell, Josh (Ashlee) Russell, Matthew Trimble, Andrew Trimble, Elijah Russell; and great-grandchildren, Will, Kyndall, Sam, Buddy, Jack, Justin, Desirea, Grayson, Kynlee, Kalynn, Presley, Parker, Preston, Bailey, Kennedy, Jackson, Ethan, Avery, Carter, Cora and Piper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim Russell; grandson, Lucas Russell; and siblings, Paul Moberg and Betty Sloan.
Honoring Blenda's request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
