Bobbie Ann Young

Bobbie Ann Young, 64, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on October 20, 1942 in Pine Bluff, AK, the daughter of Robert and Mattie Holmes Huggins. She was a member of Fellowship Christian Baptist Church. Bobbie married Lealva L. Young, Sr.. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Ezekiel Rhoten, Gloria Rhoten, Bruna Gladney, Sunny Shephard and Lealva Young, Jr., fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four brothers, Cleven Huggins, Louis W. Huggins, Larry Huggins and Robert Huggins, Jr. and seven sisters, Berneice McKnight, Jeraldine Thompson, Earlean Lawrence, Betty Huggins, Flory Mackie, Evelyn Goodman and Clara Jones. She was preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Huggins. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Bobbie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
