Bonnie L. Eckstein, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her home. She was born October 14, 1941 in Topeka, the daughter of Wilby and Gladys VanCleave Wilcox.
Bonnie graduated from Highland Park High School in 1959. She was employed as a Bus Driver for Shawnee Heights U.S.D. 450 for several years. Bonnie was a member of Topeka Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends.
Survivors include her children, Angela (Ronald) Bower of Topeka, Daniel (Heather) Eckstein of Frontenac, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one sister, Linda Moon of Coffeyville, KS. She was preceded in death by one son, Steve Eckstein.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 at Topeka Baptist Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st. St., Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
