Brent Louis Tegethoff

Brent Louis Tegethoff, 64, of Fort Scott, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 1, 2024.
He was born March 19, 1960, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Duane Louis and Glenda Lee (Funke) Tegethoff. He was a graduate of Topeka West High School and served in the United States Navy.
Brent was employed by the Key Industries in Ft. Scott, Kansas. He had previously worked at Firestone and Berry Material Handling, both in Topeka.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Scott.
Survivors include his mother, Glenda Tegethoff of Topeka; his sisters, Carla Jo Tegethoff and Lesli Ann Ashburn both of Topeka; brother-in-law David Holmes, Garnett, KS; his nieces, Denise Carlson, Garnett, KS and Korie Ann Ashburn, Topeka; nephew Jacob Ashburn, Topeka; great nephew Lathan Woodson, Garnett.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Louis Tegethoff on May 29, 2014 and his sister, Lisa Rochelle Tegethoff Holmes on August 4, 2021.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS. Cremation will follow the gathering. The gathering will be livestreamed at the scheduled time here . A private family graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
