Bruce May, 70, of Carbondale, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
He was born August 18, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Norval and Glendora (Mellies) May.

He graduated from Burlingame High School in 1966. Bruce was employed as a warehouseman at Del Monte Foods and Mustang/Phillilps Lighting. He worked as the custodian at Community UCC Church.
Bruce married Linda May on April 22, 1978 in Washington, Kansas

He was very competitive and played baseball at every opportunity. Bruce enjoyed his retirement filled with golfing, fishing, and was an avid KU basketball fan. He had a great sense of humor and loved socializing with the guys at Four Corners every day sitting in his "designated" seat.

Survivors include his loving wife, Linda; two sons: Dennis of Carbondale and Chris of Sioux Falls, SD; his mother, Glendora Kirkwood of Carbondale; his brother, Dennis May of Wichita; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Isabella, his father Norval May, and his step-father Dale Kirkwood.

Please dress casually wearing jeans and KU colors for his Celebration of Life to be held at Community United Church of Christ in Carbondale, Kansas at 10:00AM, Saturday, September 15, 2018. Visitation will be held Friday, September 14 from 5-7PM at the church. Interment of the cremated remains will be private at a later date.
