Bruce Wesley Smith, 66, of Topeka, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021.

He was born November 4, 1955, in Holton, Kansas, the son of Paul Wesley and Zada Faye (Snyder) Smith. He was a 1973 graduate of Topeka High School.

Bruce was employed by Cargill in Topeka, for 34 years, retiring in 2014.

Bruce married Cinde S. Wege on January 21, 1978 in Topeka. She survives in Topeka. Other survivors include two sons, Ryan (Amy) Smith and Dylan (Tuesda) Smith all of Topeka; six grandchildren, Tyler, Roman, Thomas, McKinsey, Lincoln and Zada; his sister, Ardie Smith of K. C., MO; and his brother, Rex (Verna) Smith of Derby, KS.

Bruce enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and attending their events, fishing, gardening and golfing. He was a season ticket holder for both KU Basketball and K.C. Chiefs Football.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m., Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Blind Tiger Brewery & Restaurant, 417 SW 37th St., Topeka, Kansas. A private visitation will be held at Dove Cremations & Funerals, Southeast Chapel in Topeka.
