Burten Earle Hurd

Burten Earle Hurd peacefully passed away on August 2, 2014, at the age of 68. He was born February 8, 1946. Burten was a life-long Topeka, Kansas resident. At age 17, he took over his father's business, P& H Truck Line. In 1969, he became an over the road truck driver. In his later years he worked for Kent & Company as a carpenter. Burt loved to laugh, joke, and be with his family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Michael Hurd of St. Peters, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Burt was preceded in death by two sons, Timmy in 1977 and Brian in 2012; three brothers; a sister; and his parents.
Memorial services will be held in near future, celebrated by friends and family.
