Calvin L. Eberting, 94, of Topeka, passed away September 12, 2017. He was born August 27, 1923 at Clinton, Missouri to George William and Eathel Pearl (Pruesner) Eberting. He joined the Army Air Corps and served during WWII. He worked for over thirty years at the Colmery O'Neil VAMC in Topeka.
Calvin married Genevieve Holmes on July 19, 1942. She preceded him in death shortly after their 50th anniversary. He flipped houses before that became fashionable. He delivered milk to schools as well as a regular delivery route for Foremost and Boyles dairies. He loved to fish and winters in Texas!
Calvin is survived by his wife of 18 years, Betty (Boettcher) Eberting; his children, Rebecca Wegener, Marcella Damerval and William Eberting, all of Topeka; six grandchildren: John C. Damerval (Susan), Scott Damerval, Michael Wegener, Tim Wegener, Nicole Simmons (Michael) and Noel Eberting; 4 great-granddaughters; and one sister, Yvonne Burwell of Blue Springs, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Topeka Cemetery.
