Carey Karge Lorson passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014.
She was born on June 29, 1968 in Des Plaines, IL. Carey graduated from Topeka West High School in 1986. She previously worked for Southwestern Bell and Kansas Gas Service, and was most recently employed with Colmery-O'Neil Veterans Call Center.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Sandy Lee of Topeka; daughters, Megan and Shelby Lorson of Topeka; grandson, Cayden Lee Lorson; brother, Lee (Melissa) Karge of Webster Groves, MO; sister, Kristy (John) Lucero of Beaverton, OR; step-siblings, Mary Paul (David) Charo of Hewitt, TX, and Alexander Paul of Oakland, CA; nieces, Elizabeth Lucero and Kathryn Charo; nephews, Zack and Jake Lucero, Landon Karge, and Nicholas Charo; and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3601 SW 17th, Topeka. Private entombment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker, Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center, Voluntary Service Program Office.
