Carl Edward Anderson, 79, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2007 in route from Arkansas.
Carl was born December 19, 1928 in Oshkosh, WI, the son of Reuben and Ruth Anderson.
He married Betty L. Anderson at First United Methodist Church on Feb. 4, 1949.
Upon Carl's retirement from the State of Kansas in 1987 he began his volunteer journey at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center receiving numerous awards for his voluntary contributions. He was active in church and church community functions for many years.
Carl was preceded in death by his wife Betty, parents and two brothers.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen (Walter) North of Topeka; and two sons, Daniel (Rea) of Arkansas and Doug of Lawrence; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 2, 2007 in Klasse Chapel at First United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Rochester Cemetery.
