Carl E. Fett, 72, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016.
He was born November 26, 1943, in Audubon, Iowa, the son of Clarence and Marietta (Moller) Fett. He was a graduate of Audubon Co. High School and served in the United States Air Force and from 1966-67 was stationed at Nakhon Phanom Air Force Base in Thailand, receiving his discharge from Lowry Air Force Base in 1967.
Carl worked for Fisher Imaging in Colorado and Martin Tractor for many years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of Town and Country Christian Church, Ghost Town Club of Colorado, and the Kansas State Square Dancing Association. Carl was an avid bowler, achieving a perfect game after retirement.
Carl married Virginia F. Johnston on May 6, 1966, at Eisenhower Chapel at Lowry Air Force Base. She survives. Other survivors include, daughters, Cynthia (Steve) Metcalf and Susanne (David) Trujillo; brothers, Harold (Connie) Fett and Dean (Charlotte) Fett; sister, Linda Jensen; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Carl was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Town and Country Christian Church, 4925 SW 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66614. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care or Town and Country Christian Church.
