Carl E. Forshee, 84, of Topeka, received his wings on Friday, March 12, 2021. He was born January 26, 1937 in St. James, Arkansas, the son of Truman J. and Lola L. (Grigsby) Forshee, Sr.
Carl married Lula "Peggy" Ford on August 11, 1959 in Mountain View, Arkansas. Carl is survived by his wife, Peggy, two daughters, Tammy (Tim) Lawson, Carla (Steve Preston) Nelson, siblings, Elnora Lambert, Lola "Eva Mae" (Forshee) King, Garry (Carrie) Forshee and Vivian (Bob) Forshee Ribordy all of Topeka, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one uncle and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, TJ and Larry and one grandchild, Erika Lawson.
Carl was an Army Veteran. He enjoyed working in the yard, picking the guitar, bird watching and spending time with his grandchildren.
Carl will lie in state from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Masks and social distancing must be observed. Private services will be held and private burial will take place in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association, 3625 SW 29th St. Suite 102, Topeka, Kansas 66614.
