Carol Ann Bradshaw, 76, of Berryton, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, FL. She was born August 24, 1938 at Olivet, KS, the daughter of Robert and Alta (Balocca) Waugh.
Carol graduated from Olivet High School. She worked briefly for Southwestern Bell Telephone before starting her family. She later was employed as a Driver's License Examiner for the State of Kansas before retiring in 1986.
Carol was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church where she served as President for two years for the Altar Society. She also served as President for two years for the Kansas State Firefighters Association Auxiliary, was an officer and member of the Topeka Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the St. Rita's Guild, a member of the Sesame Club, a member of the Pinochle Club, a member of the Topeka Post-Polio Support Group and a member of the Shawnee County E.H.U.
Carol married Richard A. Bradshaw on August 24, 1957 in Waverly, KS. He survives. Other survivors include their three children, Allen and wife, Pam of Tecumseh, Cindy and husband, Robert of Topeka, Cheri and husband, David of Michigan Valley, KS, one granddaughter, Jessica Poell and husband, Ty of Tonganoxie, KS, two great-grandsons, Brayden and Luke, one brother, Bob Waugh of Goodland, KS and one sister, Louise Michael of Topeka.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon Thursday, February 26, 2015 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends following the Rosary until 8:00 p.m.
