Carol Ann Hack

Carol Ann Hack, 75, of Topeka, passed away Monday, June 24, 2024.

She was born November 15, 1948, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of John and Mary (Webb) Hack. She graduated from Hayden High School in 1967.

Carol began her working life with Hallmark, and later worked for Highway Oil and St. Francis. She ended her career doing what she loved which was home and pet sitting.

Carol welcomed three children, Ryan (Angelina) Rush of San José, CA, Robin Rush of Topeka, KS, and Rachael Lee of Topeka, KS.

Other survivors include grandchildren, Hayden (19) & Ava (17) Rush, Colton (27) (Chase), MiKayla (26) & Kylie (23) Hill, and Kylie Marie (26), Cameron (25), Isaaic (22), Myles (17) & Sophia (12) Lee; 3 great grandchildren; brother, James (Susan) Philip Hack and sister-in-law, Bernadine Hack.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert “Bob” Hack and son-in-law, Marvin Lee.

Carol loved her family and had a special knack for helping others. She cared for many pets, flowers and plants. She was a very charitable person who made many donations to places like St. Jude’s, Ronald McDonald House and the Helping Hands Humane Society. Carol kept her faith close to her heart. She enjoyed her football team; Chiefs, basketball team; KU Jayhawks, reading a good book and was quiet the wine connoisseur.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 p.m., Monday July 1, 2024 at Dove Cremations & Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, with time for visiting the hour prior. Cremation will follow the ceremony. Carol's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time. Click here to view the service.
