Carroll J. Neff, 67, Auburn, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.
Carroll was born December 7, 1944 in Ft. Smith, AR, the daughter of Riley and Velma (Knox) Dinsmore. She graduated from Ft. Smith High School and attended Washburn University.
She was employed by the State Adjutant Generals Office as an Executive secretary for over 20 years, retiring in 2008. She also worked for the Kansas Board of Healing Arts and the Kansas Legislature.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Topeka.
Carroll married Galen Steward in 1961. They later divorced. She married Richard Nelson and they later divorced. She married Howard Neff and they later divorced. Survivors include son, Keith (Cindy) Steward, Ottawa; daughter, Kimberly Diane (Jerald) Henry, Topeka; five grandchildren; sisters, Betty Walker, Van Buren, AR, Nancy Bowers, Bloomfield, NM, Cheryl Nicholas, Ft. Smith, AR; and a brother, Roy Dinsmore, Ft. Smith, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Inurnment will be in Ft. Smith, AR, at a later date.
