Catherine Wood

Catherine "Cathy" Wood, 75, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at her home.

She was born March 8, 1930 in Creston, Iowa the daughter of Ben and Helen Crossley.

Cathy worked as a paraprofessional for USD 437 Auburn Washburn Schools retiring in 2004.

She had attended St. Matthew's Catholic Church.

Cathy married Dennis Wood February 14, 1990 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include one son, Ed Evans, Grainville, MO; one daughter, Beth Willers, Burlington, IA; one brother, Bob Crossley, MO; one sister, Winnie Schmidt, TN; six grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson Evan Vancil.
