Charles Boman

Charles L. Boman, 78, Topeka, passed away at his home on June 19, 2010. He was born on June 9, 1932 in Moran, Kansas, the son of Archie and Ocie (Dickenson) Boman. He graduated from Moran High School in 1950. He entered the US Air Force in 1950 and served 4 years at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. He married Jean Louise Erickson in 1954. They resided in Wichita, KS. They moved their family to Topeka, in 1966.

He graduated from Wichita University in 1962 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He worked as an accountant for the State of Kansas for 23 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, son, Gary, and brothers Archie and Gerald Boman. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Douglas) Dunn of Flagstaff, AZ, daughter-in-law Betty Boman of Topeka, KS, and a sister, Blanche Boman of Las Cruces, NM.

Cremation is planned. A Memorial service will be held at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service on July 10, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon. Inurnment will take place at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Parkinson's Disease Assoc. of NE Kansas, P.Ol Box 251, Topeka, KS 66601 or the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. of Northeast Kansas, 400 SW 29th, Suite G, Topeka, KS 66611-1100.
