Charles Buechner

Charles J. Buechner, 98, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at McCrite Plaza. Charles was born March 14, 1911 in Topeka, the son of John and Allene (LaMar) Buechner. He was a lifelong resident of Topeka.
Charles and his father operated Buechner & Son Grocery for a number of years in North Topeka. He also worked as a photo finisher at Zercher Photo. Charles married Constance Clark on October 23, 1933 in Topeka. She preceded him in death last July. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Thelma Houck.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Jerrry) Oster of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Brian Oster, Lisa Ruebush, Amy Oster; six great grandchildren; a niece Mary Jo Stadel; and a nephew, Jerry Houck.
