Charles H. Colter, 86, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Healthcare Resort in Topeka. He was born October 19, 1938 in Rossville, Kansas, the son of Homer C. and Velma E. (Startup) Colter.

Charles attended Topeka High School. He was an Army Veteran. He was employed by Adams Business Forms for over 47 years before retiring on January 2, 2004. He was a member of the American Legion Capitol Post 1.

Charles married Jean A. Innes on June 4, 1961 in Topeka. She preceded him in death on March 18, 2016. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Patrick on March 22, 2024 and by his sister, Barbara Hesting.

Survivors include their children, Lisa (Bob) Stevenson, Tim (Lisa) Colter, son-in-law, Greg Patrick, eight grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
