Charles E. Bratton, Sr.

Charles E. Bratton, Sr., 89, of Topeka, passed away August 12, 2016. He was born November 6, 1926 at Dover, Kansas to Kenneth and Hazel Bratton. He attended Washburn High School and served 5 ½ years in the US Navy as a gunner's mate in WWII. He worked in construction after his honorable discharge.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three daughters: Tanya Salts, Bernie Mueller and Carolyn Hampton; one son, Charles Bratton, Jr.; step-daughter, Janet Rosebrough; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Patterson; and his brother, Kenny Bratton. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Rd., Topeka, KS, on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
