Charles Lee Delain

Charles Lee deLain, 67, of Wakarusa, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013. He was born June 16, 1946 in Topeka, the son of Paul O. and Frances I. Smith deLain.

Charles graduated from Washburn Rural High School. He was an Air Force veteran. He farmed in Wiggins, CO for 20 years. He later returned to Topeka and worked at 4-Corners Auction before retiring. He was a member of Terra Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Frances I. deLain of Topeka and his two sisters, Diane G. deLain of Wakarusa and Carol (Tom) Horton of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul O. deLain, one brother, John Paul deLain and one sister, Marilyn Fire.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Berryton, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, DC 20090-6231. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
