Charles J. Leibold

Charles J. Leibold, 95, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born June 27, 1923 in Neosho Falls, Kansas, the son of Charles Joseph and Ella Esty (Moorhead) Leibold.
Charles graduated high school in Neosho Falls in 1941. He was employed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 35 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the University United Methodist Church and the United Steel Workers Local No. 307.
Charles married Anna L. Bevard on February 23, 1964 in Sedan, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include five daughters, Carla (Mike) Linhart, Teresa (John) Porter, Cindy Leibold, Charlotte (Brian) Gaines, Angela Leibold, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one brother, Norman Leibold.
Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Dunlap.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the University United Methodist Church, 1621 SW College Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66604 or to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
