Charles Maxwell
Charles Robert "Jack" Maxwell, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Westwood Manor. He was born on May 1, 1921 in Topeka, Kansas to Charles B. and Elsie (Knauber) Maxwell.
Jack was a graduate of Topeka High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII where he earned a purple heart for wounds received in action at Saipan, Marianas Islands.
Jack is survived by two sons, Mark and Dale Dean Maxwell, both of Billings, MT; sister-in-Law, Doris Maxwell of Topeka; and one nephew Mike Maxwell and his wife Theresa of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ted.
Private graveside services will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
