Charles P. "Charlie" Siebert, 81, of Topeka, went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2010. Born in Emmett, KS on March 27, 1929, he moved to Topeka in 1941. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Laura Maher Siebert, and son Stephen, both of Topeka, daughters Marilyn K. Thompson (Paul Thompson) of Tallahassee, FL, and Mona Gay Williamson (Ricky Williamson) of Pace, FL. An Army veteran, he had been an independent insurance agent since 1958, most recently representing American Home Life Insurance of Topeka, and providing security for hundreds of local families over five generations. An avid reader, he had a passion for American history, including U.S. Presidents, and was a world traveler who understood and appreciated foreign cultures. He and Laura attended First Assembly of God Church in Topeka. His life was a testament to faith, love, and service… a gift to his family, friends, and God. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 2 pm at the Topeka First Assembly of God Church, 500 SW 27th Street. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Salvation Army, Topeka.
