Cheryl Ann Cailteux

Cheryl A. (Fisher) Cailteux was born April 4th, 1950 and passed away on May 9th 2022.
She was the second child born to Charles S. Fisher Jr. and Doris M. (Meldrum) Fisher. Her step mother, Ella Marie Fisher also played an important role in her life. Her parents proceeded her in death.
Her siblings include Mike (Donna) Fisher, Mark (Joanne) Fisher, Linda (Darrell) Fisher Spencer, Charles (Janie) S. Fisher III, Janet Fisher Webster and Anita (Ernie) Fisher Longoria; her four step-sisters, Vicki Peterson, Sue Bolley, Cindy Sundgrun and Kay Mettner who proceeded her in death.
She loved her many nieces and nephews, Chad Chandler, Jimmy and Shannon Fisher, Melissa Paisley, Jerod and Kylie Longoria, Julie and Jennifer Webster and Matt Weishaar.
Cheryl graduated from Topeka High School in 1967. She then went on to receive an Associate Degree in Business from a junior college in Gulfport, Mississippi. She worked many years in the insurance industry.
She married Cletus F. Cailteux on May 27, 1972. He survives. They would have marked their 50th wedding anniversary this year. They have lived in the Auburn community most of their married life.
Cheryl enjoyed people, good food, riding and showing horses, and her many pet dogs. She also loved her part time work after retirement as a home health aide for Midland Hospice.
Honoring Cheryl's request cremation is planned. A memorial graveside service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, KS.
Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610 is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
