Cheryl Anne Stewart, 63, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born August 15, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Dolinar) Sosna.
Cheryl graduated from Royal Valley High School. She was employed by Memorial Hospital and St. Francis Hospital as an X-Ray Tech. After having her children, she became a full time mom and home-schooled all four of her kids. In the last ten years, she enjoyed her time as owner/operator of Right Way Moving. She was a member of the Northland Christian Church for over 25 years.
Cheryl married Mike J. Stewart on May 11, 1984 in Miami, Oklahoma. They later divorced.
Survivors include children, Adam (Kindal) Stewart, Adrienne (Paul) Wagner, Alex (Hannah) Stewart and Abraham (Melina) Stewart, eight grandchildren, Kynzlee, Roman, Piper, Hadley, Haisley, River, Trinity and Titus, her mother, Dot Sosna, and her sisters, Denise (Brian) Murray, Susan (Roger) Shumaker, Lori Winter. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at the Topeka Baptist Church, 4500 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka, Kansas 66610 where the family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that you wear purple in honor of Cheryl as that was her favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission Children's Palace, P.O. Box 8350, Topeka, Kansas, 66608-0350.
