Chester LeRoy "Chet" Hilleland, 60, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at his home. He was born January 30, 1954 in Topeka, the son of Norman Hilleland and Ruth Selph Crawford. He attended Highland Park High School. He lived most of his life in Topeka. He was a member of Carbondale Church of Christian Fellowship.
He married Geraldine E. Gellinger in 1974 and they divorced in 1990. He worked for USD 501 for a few years and then attended Jay's Truck Driving School. He was a driver for Midwestern, P.A.M. and Navjo Trucking.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, three brothers, Alvin Hilleland, Dennis Crawford and Rich Crawford; and one sister, Robin Crawford Pottorf.
Survivors include his sister Martha Speaks, Gladstone, MO; his brother, David Hilleland, Topeka, KS; his ex-wife, Geraldine Gellinger, Topeka, KS; four daughters, Elizabeth Coffman, Ruth Hilleland, Melanie Hilleland and Christal Crawford; 21 Grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
