Choice B. Young

Choice B. Young, 67, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on August 25, 1939 in Marvell, Arkansas, the daughter of Willie O. and Rosetta Ford Young. She moved to Topeka in 1964. She was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Choice married Edward Mitchell. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. Survivors include her children, Earlene Jackson, James E. Young, Jared Young, Debbie L. Young and Schelline Carter all of Topeka, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Lillie Young of Kansas City, MO, five brothers, Ledell Young, Sherman Young, Carl Young, Bennie Young all of Topeka and Nathienel Young of Wichita. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery. Choice will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
