Christa Lynn Hoss

Christa Lynn Hoss, 60, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at a Topeka hospital. She was born September 20, 1961 in Greenfield, Indiana, the daughter of David N. and Marla A. (Ernstes) Fansler.

Christa graduated from Topeka West High School. She graduated from Child Care Program at the Kaw Area Vo-Tech. Christa was employed by the State of Kansas for Child Services, owned and operated her own child day care and J.C. Penney's for over ten years. She was a member of Southwest Christian Church. The Wounded Warrior's Project was an important cause for Christa.

Christa married Larry D. Hoss on June 28, 1980 in the Wakarusa Presbyterian Church. He survives. Other survivors include children, Jason Hoss of Topeka, David Hoss of Topeka, Caleb Hoss of Topeka, one granddaughter, Addison, her mother, Marla A. Fansler of Topeka and her two sisters, Leigh Rush of Topeka, Jodi (Bruce) Andruss of Topeka and many nieces and nephews. She was also a motherly figure to Joey (Jaime) Peralta and known as grandma to Hailey, Chloe and Joey.

Christa was preceded in death by her father and one grandson, Corbin.

A Celebration of Christa's Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:30 -7:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 at the funeral home.
