Christine Fisher
Christine A. Fisher, Topeka, died Sunday, July 31, 2005 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born in Dwight, Nebraska, the daughter of Charles and Mary Ann (Pokorny) Korinek. She had lived in Topeka since 1936.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.
She married Albert H. "Bucky" Fisher on Dec. 17, 1936 in Lawrence. He died June 28, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, John Davis, two brothers, Alex Korinek and Edward "Pat" Korinek.
Survivors include her second cousin, Gladys Read, Perry, IA, her sister-in-law, Dora Korinek, David City, NE, several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Tina Gamble, Max A. Baker, Mary J. Ledom, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Undorf, and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Beamand.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum at Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
A Parish Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name Catholic Church, 1114 SW 10th Ave, 66604 or to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, 66617.
