Christine Profitt was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 29th, 2018.
Born June 12, 1942 in Americus, GA., to Luther and Julia Young.
Christine graduated from Sumter County High School in 1960. She was valedictorian of her class. She enjoyed playing basketball.
In 1963 she and her sister moved to Topeka. She had a passion for cooking. She held various positions in the restaurant business. Christine was well known for Chrisitne's Famous Fried Chicken.
Christine is survived by her son, Hank (Monique) Topeka, KS; granddaughter, Kezia Topeka, KS; brothers, Richard Young Topeka, KS, Murphy Young Sacramento, CA; sister, Mamie Miller Hampton, VA; and nieces and nephews.
Christine was preceded in death by her father, Luther Young; mother Julia Young; and brother Roosevelt Young.
There will be a public visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at El Shaddai Ministries Community Church, 920 SE Sherman Ave, Topeka, KS 66607.
