Christine Rene Holden
January 2, 1971 — May 22, 2015
Christine Rene´ Holden, 44, of Topeka, KS passed away on Friday (May 22, 2015) at Midland Care Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Sainte Genevieve, MO, on January 2, 1971.
Christine is survived by her parents, Stephen and Sharon Bobbitt of Belton, MO; sister, Diane of Cedar Rapids, IA; brother, David of Olathe, KS; son, Ryan of Seminole, FL and her two daughters, Isabel and Gabby of Topeka, KS.
Christine graduated from Warrensburg High School, Warrensburg, MO, and graduated with top honors from Concord Career Institute as a dental assistant.
Christine loved gardening, dancing, running at the lake, riding horses, roller skating, making Christmas candy, and playing canasta with the family. She was a very talented artist and won numerous awards in art contests during high school.
Christine established the Kids Helping Horses Foundation which rehabilitated abused horses and also provided educational opportunities for community groups like Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
Christine has held numerous jobs in her lifetime. Chauffeur, waitress, personal trainer, salesman and landscaper are just a few that show her diverse interests. For the last 21 years, she worked at Cassidy Orthodontics, starting off as a dental assistant in the office but eventually worked from her home making dental appliances. Also, for the last few years, she ran her own studio, Dance4Fitness, from her home.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30th at Mount Hope Chapel in Topeka, KS. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
