Clarence Howe

Clarence M. Howe, 90, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at his home.

He was born September 6, 1915 in Jacksonville, FL the son of Fred and Bertha Howe.

Mr. Howe was a farmer most of his life. He worked 10 years for Sears and 8 years with the Ramada Inn.

Mr. Howe was a member of Water District #3 in Meriden. He had served as a Little League Baseball Coach and a Boy Scout Den Leader.

He married Augusta Jeanette Murphy June 12, 1939 in Manhattan. Survivors include his wife of 68 years Augusta, one son, Larry Howe and one daughter Martha Majors both of Ozawkie, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Loyd Howe.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will be in West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
