Clarice R. Dyche-Bless

Clarice R. Bless, age 92, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was born in Kane, IL on January 19, 1919, the daughter of Reverend R. Theodore Gasaway and C. Maybelle Gasaway.

She had two brothers, Dale W. Gasaway and Robert W. Gasaway. Both preceded her in death. On September 30, 1945 she married Glen W. Dyche, who was killed in an auto accident in 1951. On June 26, 1956, she married Herschel R. Bless, who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Robert T. Dyche and a stepdaughter, Theresa M. Bless. Other survivors include daughter-in-law, Arlene S. Dyche; grandsons, Aaron D. and Jared P. Dyche; and a niece and a nephew.

Clarice attended public schools in Monmouth, IL, followed by Gem City Business College in Quincy, IL.

Clarice requested her body be cremated; there will be no viewing or public service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or food, donations be made to the St Francis Cancer Center, 1700 SW 7th, Topeka, KS 66606.
