Clarice R. Thomsen, 88, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019.
She was born July 22, 1930, in Holton, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Hazel (Thomas) Bowser.
She was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church.
Clarice married Lawrence E. Thomsen in October 22, 1948 in Atchison, KS. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1994.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and having game night with them. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing Bingo as much as she could. She also loved playing the piano with her sisters and getting together with her family especially with her sisters and their families. She was caring to people in that if there was not enough food she would offer her plate. She enjoyed making people laugh, in a way like Lucille Ball.
Survivors include a daughter, Catherine Zlatnik, sons, Mark A. Thomsen, Martin E. Thomsen; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, with two on the way.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael E. Thomsen, Sr.; daughter-in-law Rena K. Thomsen; grandson, Michael E. Thomsen, Jr.; a brother, Harold Bowser; sisters, Mildred Steinmetz, Doris South, Betty Bowser, Bonnie Wadsworth and Gladys Florence.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church. Family will greet friends one hour prior at the church where a parish rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Private family interment will be later at Mount Hope Cemetery.
