Clark D. Currie, 86, died, Friday, Oct. 22, 2004 at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines, IA. He was born on Nov. 22, 1917 in Topeka, KS to John Jay and Roma R. French Currie. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1936. Following high school he attended Kansas State Univ. He also worked in the family windmill shop. Clark served in the army during World War II. Following service in the army, he graduated from Washburn Univ. in 1952 and from Washburn Univ. School of Law in 1967. Clark worked for GMAC and the Internal Revenue Service as an estate tax attorney. He married Alice Helen Pollitt in January of 1943, she preceded him in death. Surviving are a son, Clark J. Currie of Shawnee Mission, KS; a daughter, Marsha M. Braun of Altoona, IA; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25, 2004 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
