Clayton Edmund "Ed" Holloway went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 20th, 2013 at Midland Hospice House.
He was born October 28th, 1941 in Lawrence, Kansas to Theodore and Nellie Holloway. He grew up in Dover, Kansas and did farming in the Dover and Topeka area for many years.
Ed worked for Whiteley Pallet and Crate from 1973 to 1986, and then went to work for Gideon Pallet in Paxico, Kansas until 1992 when he retired.
Ed loved to be outdoors, whether it was mowing a yard or working in his garden, walking the dog or even just sitting in his lawn chair playing "air guitar" to the radio. He enjoyed working on puzzles and needlepoint when he could not be outdoors.
Ed was married to Marilyn Wilson on July 31st, 1971; she survives as do his two sons, Jason and Jeremy. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, a brother and a sister. Ed is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Ed will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road after 2:00 p.m. on Monday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
