Clayton L. Meiries

Clayton L. Meiries, age 74, of Axtell, Kansas, was promoted from Earth to Heaven on December 2, 2016. He was born December 4, 1941, son of William and Violet (Allen) Meiries in Topeka, Kansas.
He graduated from Highland Park High in 1959. He retired from Kansas Sand and Concrete in 1997 as a RediMix truck driver.
He is survived by his poodle, Leroy, who was euthanized; brother, William; brother-in-law, David Kenworthy; and nephews and a niece.
He married Willa L. Kenworthy on April 23, 1963, in Topeka. She was promoted to Heaven on February 26, 2014.
Clayton was cremated and will be buried with his wife's ashes and his poodle's ashes together. At his request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Baileyville Kansas Veterinary Clinic in his name.
