Clella Mae Ault, 91, of Topeka, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023 at Stormont-Vail Hospital. She was born on January 7, 1932 in Topeka, the daughter of Paul K. and Lois L. (Starkey) Ingram.
Clella was raised in the Oakland neighborhood and graduated from Topeka High school in 1950. After high school, Clella worked as a telephone operator at Southwestern Bell.
In 1954, Clella married Elden Tuell and later divorced in 1977. They had three sons, Elden, Dan and David (Duff). After their divorce, she worked for the Clerk of the District Court and soon after started dating Raymond Ault. They were married in 1983. Ray had a daughter, Chrystina from a previous marriage to add to the family.
Clella was preceded in death by her husband Ray; her parents; two brothers and two sisters in law; Vernon and Marceline and Don and Shirley; her ex-husband, Elden; a daughter-in-law Stacie Tuell; and a son-in-law John Edwards.
Clella is survived by her children and their spouses, Elden and Diane, Dan and Michelle, Duff and Megan; and Chrystina. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nathan and Tayler; Jessica and Benton; Keegan, August, and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Clella's Life will be announced at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
